About the position

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth in the AL/FL territory by engaging with distributor representatives and veterinarians. This role involves providing comprehensive product information, training, and support to ensure the effective recommendation and use of Nutramax veterinary products. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills to manage relationships and marketing activities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Call on distributor representatives and veterinarians to promote Nutramax veterinary products.
  • Provide product and technical training to veterinary distributor representatives and OTC representatives.
  • Assist with the launch of new products by training call centers and providing necessary support materials.
  • Visit veterinarian offices to sell products, provide detailed information, and conduct educational seminars.
  • Communicate with distributor representatives and schedule dinner meetings.
  • Work with Technical Service Veterinarian to schedule meetings with veterinary schools and host symposiums.
  • Visit veterinary schools to inform them about pricing and new products.
  • Manage a yearly budget for marketing activities related to veterinary products.
  • Provide timely and informative reports to the home office regarding industry changes and competition.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments and function within a team environment.

Requirements

  • Veterinary manufacturer/animal health industry experience desired.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of 1 year of sales/marketing experience or 3 years' experience working within a veterinary hospital.
