About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is responsible for driving sales in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) market within the Southwest region. This role involves managing a team of Manufacturer's Representatives to achieve sales targets, enhance customer satisfaction, and increase market share. The position requires strategic planning, market analysis, and performance management to ensure alignment with company objectives and values.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in sales strategy discussions and agrees to short and long-term goals.
  • Achieves sales targets through proactive management of Sales Rep organizations and market analysis.
  • Determines customer value perceptions to align business offerings with buying criteria.
  • Implements measures to achieve sales of products, systems, and services in the assigned regions.
  • Ensures Manufacturer's Representatives operate in alignment with Hitachi Energy's business processes and standards.
  • Maintains awareness of the competitive landscape in the region.
  • Conducts periodic reviews and proposes recovery plans for potential order shortfalls.
  • Lives Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, business administration, or a technical field; advanced degree desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, particularly with sales/manufacturer's reps.
  • Technical selling aptitude is essential.
  • Account Management experience is required.
  • Experience with salesforce.com is necessary.
  • Work authorization to permit employment with Hitachi Energy in the U.S. is required.
  • Experience in performance management of manufacturer's reps, including KPI measurement, is preferred.
  • Responsible for sales accounts/region of $10 MUSD or higher is preferred.
  • Experience in C&I sales is preferred.
  • Understanding of Hitachi Energy's C&I product and service portfolio is preferred.
