About the position

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) Channels at StarKist Co. is responsible for achieving sales objectives aligned with corporate volume and profit targets across various channels including Dollar, Drug, Convenience, and Military. The RSM manages broker planning and execution, ensuring effective communication and resource allocation to meet sales goals and enhance market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve operating income, volume, Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing and Shelving (MAPS) goals through effective management of Brokers and Customers.
  • Provide strategic input into the StarKist AOP/marketing plans based on marketplace and customer requirements.
  • Establish local market priorities and strategies to guide broker development of market/account plans.
  • Direct and monitor broker execution of account plans to achieve volume objectives and key sales priorities.
  • Facilitate appropriate levels of internal and external SK resources to be deployed against key accounts.
  • Manage all aspects of trade spending to ensure effective utilization of SK funds.
  • Develop the SK franchise by penetrating selected accounts and executing strategic initiatives.
  • Manage assigned brokers in accordance with SK policies, including selection, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Effectively manage administrative responsibilities including information requests and results tracking.
  • Work with Sales Director to assess personal development needs and create training plans.

Requirements

  • 5 years of overall professional experience in CPG sales management or related industry.
  • 5 years in a position of similar complexity, scope, size and international impact.
  • BA in Business Administration preferred.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in Grocery Trade at multiple levels of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of corporate policies and compliance.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving results using team-driven philosophies.
  • Proficiency in supporting corporate interests from remote locations with strong people skills.
