About the position

Seco Tools is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead sales efforts in the Southeastern United States, specifically targeting the automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing sectors. The ideal candidate will work independently from a home office, managing a team of 5-6 sales professionals while traveling 50-70% of the time across the region. This role emphasizes strategic planning for territory growth, team development, and achieving sales targets through effective leadership and customer relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Select, lead, and manage the sales team to ensure sales growth through distribution channels and end-user account development.
  • Mentor, train, and support the sales team through education, joint sales calls, solution development, and problem resolution.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with distribution and end-user customers to optimize and grow sales.
  • Develop, track, and report regional and territory sales plans, goals, and budgets.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of validated sales leadership experience in industrial B2B sales, particularly in the metalworking or manufacturing sectors.
  • Experience working independently from a home office in a regional territory management role.
  • Strong technical proficiency and leadership skills, with the ability to analyze, plan, and execute strategic initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the Energy and Aerospace industries.
  • Experience in large account business development.
  • Industry-related experience in manufacturing, metalworking, tooling, and/or production environments.
