About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Diversified Therapeutics at Viatris is responsible for driving sales performance in the Great Lakes region, which includes Michigan, Ohio, Northern Pennsylvania, and Northern New York. This role involves developing and executing regional sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and leading a team of sales representatives to achieve company sales and market share objectives. The manager will also focus on recruiting and retaining talent, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering a high-performance team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance regional sales performance to meet or exceed annual sales and market share objectives.
  • Implement regional and district sales strategies through the sales team.
  • Build and maintain solid customer relationships with key executives and decision makers.
  • Conduct account reviews and monitor product usage to identify growth or decrease in purchasing patterns.
  • Provide regular feedback to sales representatives and address performance challenges promptly.
  • Analyze team performance and sales figures, tracking sales force effectiveness.
  • Recruit and retain top talent for the sales team.
  • Coach and counsel direct reports to maximize their performance and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all business activities.
  • Communicate openly with supervisors and direct reports, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Manage organizational change effectively to ensure successful implementation of strategies.
  • Create a high-performance team environment that values professional development and accountability.
  • Exercise fiscal control over allocated operating budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales management preferred.
  • Ability to travel 60-70%, including overnight travel.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
