About the position

The Regional Sales Manager - Emergency Responder at Bullard is responsible for driving sales growth through existing distribution channels and training new distributors in various customer segments. This role requires a strong background in Emergency Responder sales, strategic planning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve sales goals. The position covers a territory that includes several states and focuses on increasing market share and customer satisfaction through effective sales strategies and distributor management.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of Bullard's products to end-user customers through distributors.
  • Assess, build, and develop distributor capability to support Bullard's strategic growth plan.
  • Lead distributors to effectively sell Bullard products within the assigned region.
  • Develop and implement tactical and strategic go-to-market models to grow the end-user customer base.
  • Create territory plans and assign quotas for regional areas.
  • Build and track a pipeline of sales opportunities and leads to closure.
  • Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual sales achievements for the region.
  • Ensure distributors focus on selling based on value to customers, features, and functions.
  • Represent Bullard at end-user customer forums and distributor events to gain new business.
  • Achieve sales revenue targets for the region and re-evaluate market prospects as needed.
  • Manage customer satisfaction and ensure distributor responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Develop accurate three-year, one-year, and quarterly plans to drive cross-functional team decisions.
  • Acquire and retain new and existing distributors to increase market share.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Strong background in Industrial Sales with at least 5 years of demonstrated growth in a region selling direct to end-users and through channel sales partners.
  • Proven persuasive selling and training techniques to enable understanding of product and brand value.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and communicating accurate regional forecasts and growth plans.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or master's degree preferred.
  • Experience using customer relationship management software such as Salesforce to manage and track prospects and leads.
  • Successful demonstration of tracking and achieving key sales metrics.
