About the position

In this position, you will achieve sales goals for ERICO and ILSCO Commercial Electrical business across multiple states by maintaining existing business and successfully converting new business. You will actively lead 3rd party sales agents, develop a multi-year sales strategy, and build relationships with key end-user customers and distributor partners. Your role will involve influencing end-user specifications, providing product expertise through training and technical presentations, and creating demand for products through proactive promotion. You will also support agent opportunities, launch new products, and communicate competitive feedback internally. This position requires a commitment to travel, with an average of 60% travel expected in the sales region.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals for ERICO and ILSCO Commercial Electrical business in specified states.
  • Lead 3rd party sales agents and align goals with territory strategy.
  • Develop multi-year sales strategy and tactical plan to achieve sales targets.
  • Build relationships with key end-user customers and distributor partners.
  • Influence end-user specifications for product approval.
  • Provide product expertise through training and technical presentations.
  • Create demand for products through proactive promotion.
  • Support agent opportunities and proposals for various products.
  • Launch new products to market/territory.
  • Communicate competitive feedback and market dynamics internally.
  • Use Salesforce to lead the opportunity pipeline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or applicable outside sales experience.
  • 5+ years outside sales and/or territory sales management experience in the commercial or industrial space with electrical products.
  • Ability to work remotely and travel 60% in the sales region with overnight trips.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Commercial and contractor sales knowledge.
  • High level of organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with a customer relationship management system, preferably Salesforce.
  • Strong preference for technical sales and value-based selling skills.
  • Ability to navigate/walk an active construction site.
