About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for FED NatSec at Splunk is responsible for driving software sales within the Intelligence Community. This role requires a proactive approach to developing and executing a territory coverage plan, achieving quarterly revenue targets, and fostering strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in software sales, particularly within the DoD/Intelligence sector, and will be expected to leverage their technical acumen to demonstrate business value to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory coverage plan to drive sales in the Intelligence Community.
  • Achieve quarterly revenue targets through effective sales strategies and customer engagement.
  • Identify business pains and objectives of prospects, and conduct successful business conversations with various organizational levels.
  • Close 6-7 figure deals and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • Build and maintain strong partner relationships to enhance business development efforts.
  • Utilize Splunk's sales methodology to establish next actions with clients.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph required.
  • 8+ years of direct software sales experience in the DoD/Intelligence Community.
  • Proven success in closing high-value deals (6-7 figures).
  • Ability to identify and address business pains and objectives within client organizations.
  • Experience engaging with senior-level contacts and conducting business conversations.
  • Demonstrated history of overachieving sales quotas with references to support.
  • Technical acumen to relate technology to business value and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with both enterprise and transactional sales models.
  • Strong business development and prospecting skills.
