About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for FED NatSec at Splunk is responsible for driving software sales within the Intelligence Community. This role requires a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in the DoD/Intelligence sector, focusing on achieving revenue targets and developing strategic territory coverage plans. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical acumen and sales expertise to engage with senior-level contacts and deliver innovative solutions that address customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory coverage plan to achieve quarterly revenue targets.
  • Engage with the Intelligence Community to identify business pains and objectives.
  • Conduct successful business conversations with various contact types, including senior and board-level contacts.
  • Close 6-7 figure deals while maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
  • Build and maintain strong partner relationships to enhance business development efforts.
  • Utilize Splunk's sales methodology to establish next actions with prospects.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph required.
  • 8+ years of direct software sales experience in the DoD/Intelligence Community.
  • Proven success in closing high-value deals (6-7 figures).
  • Ability to identify and articulate business pains and objectives.
  • Experience engaging with senior-level contacts in a business context.
  • Strong technical acumen with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with both enterprise and transactional sales models.
  • Excellent qualifying and closing skills.
