About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for FED NatSec at Splunk is responsible for driving software sales within the Intelligence Community. This role requires a self-starter with a proven track record in sales, particularly in the DoD/Intelligence sector, who can develop and execute territory coverage plans while consistently meeting quarterly revenue targets. The position emphasizes building strong customer relationships and leveraging technical acumen to deliver business value.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory coverage plan to drive sales in the Intelligence Community.
  • Consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets through effective sales strategies.
  • Identify business pains and objectives of prospects and relate them to Splunk's solutions.
  • Engage in successful business conversations with various contact types, including senior-level executives.
  • Overachieve sales quotas and maintain a strong track record of closing 6-7 figure deals.
  • Build and maintain strong partner relationships to enhance business development efforts.
  • Utilize excellent qualifying and closing skills to forecast sales accurately.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph required.
  • 8+ years of direct software sales experience in the DoD/Intelligence Community.
  • Proven success in closing high-value deals (6-7 figures).
  • Ability to identify business pains and objectives within organizations.
  • Experience engaging with senior-level contacts and following a structured sales methodology.
  • Demonstrated history of overachieving sales quotas with references to support.
  • Technical acumen to relate technology to business value.
  • Experience with both enterprise and transactional sales models.
  • Strong business development and prospecting skills.
