About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for FED NatSec at Splunk is responsible for driving software sales within the Intelligence Community. This role requires a proactive approach to develop and execute a territory coverage plan, focusing on achieving quarterly revenue targets while maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in software sales, particularly within the DoD/Intelligence sector, and will leverage their technical acumen to deliver business value to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory coverage plan for the Intelligence Community.
  • Achieve quarterly revenue targets through effective sales strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Identify business pains and objectives within prospect organizations.
  • Conduct successful business conversations with various contact types, including senior-level executives.
  • Utilize Splunk's sales methodology to establish next actions with prospects.
  • Demonstrate technical acumen and relate it to business value for clients.
  • Manage both enterprise and transactional sales models.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph required.
  • 8+ years of direct software sales experience in the DoD/Intelligence Community.
  • Proven success in closing 6-7 figure deals.
  • Ability to identify business pains and objectives within organizations.
  • Experience engaging with senior/board level contacts.
  • Demonstrated history of overachieving sales quotas.
  • Strong technical acumen with attention to detail.
  • Excellent qualifying and closing skills.
  • Business development and prospecting skills.

  • Familiarity with SIs and relevant programs in the Intelligence Community.
