About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Federal Civilian at Splunk is responsible for driving sales and managing the full sales cycle within federal agencies. This role requires a passionate and results-driven sales professional who can engage with customers at various levels, including CXOs and technical teams. The position emphasizes the importance of delivering value to customers while achieving quarterly revenue targets and developing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and manage the full sales cycle for federal civilian agencies.
  • Develop and exceed sales quotas against a territory coverage plan.
  • Engage with customers at the CXO level and with software developers and IT architects.
  • Identify and pursue new logo opportunities within federal agencies.
  • Forecast sales, manage expenses, and maintain a fun work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of software or SaaS sales experience within Federal agencies.
  • Proven success in closing six-figure deals within Federal/PBST.
  • Demonstrated hunter mentality with a track record of finding new opportunities.
  • Technical acumen to relate technology with business value.
  • Comfortable with both enterprise and transactional sales models.
  • Excellent qualifying and closing skills.
  • Strong business development and prospecting skills.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience.
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience selling into FCC, Peace Corps, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Smithsonian, or National Archives.
