About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Financial Services at Splunk is a key individual contributor role focused on driving revenue growth through large enterprise accounts in the Mid-West region. This position requires a dedicated sales professional who can establish a long-term vision for pipeline generation and consistently meet revenue targets. The role emphasizes building relationships, exploring business opportunities, and becoming a thought leader in machine learning and predictive analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a vision and plan for long-term pipeline generation.
  • Consistently deliver license, support, and service revenue targets.
  • Land, adopt, expand, and deepen sales opportunities.
  • Explore relationships and business possibilities across the client's organization.
  • Become known as a thought-leader in machine learning and predictive analytics.
  • Expand relationships and orchestrate complex deals across diverse business stakeholders.
  • Holistically embrace and apply the channel to identify new opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively for efficient resource deployment.
  • Provide timely and informative input back to corporate functions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct sales experience selling enterprise software to large enterprises in fast-growing environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience applying partners, channels, and alliances to sell more efficiently.
  • Relevant software experience in IT systems, enterprise management, application development, DevOps, security, business applications, or analytics.
  • Consistent track record of new business development and overachieving sales targets.
  • Strong executive presence and excellent listening skills.
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques; knowledge of Force Management, MEDDPICC, and Challenger methodologies.
