About the position

As a Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast Territory at Diamond SA, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and expanding our customer base in various technical markets, including Medical, Industrial, Energy, Military, and Aerospace. This position requires a highly motivated and dynamic sales professional who possesses the technical aptitude to discuss fiber optic applications and solutions tailored to meet our customers' needs. You will be responsible for evaluating customer applications, recommending appropriate solutions, conducting demonstrations and presentations to end users, and ultimately closing sales. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of field sales experience in a fast-paced, technical components or systems environment. A strong technical background, particularly in fiber optics, is essential. You will be expected to adopt a consultative sales approach, engaging with engineers and PhDs, and selling to the Department of Defense and large defense contractors. Your proven track record in acquiring new accounts, along with your skills in account planning and pipeline management, will be critical to your success in this role. Additionally, you will need to manage products that typically require a long sales cycle, demonstrating strong project management skills with a focus on detail and progression. Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, is a plus. This position allows for remote work from a home office with minimal supervision, but it does require a willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
