About the position

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all sales activities within a designated geographic region, focusing on driving revenue growth through the management of distributor relationships and direct sales efforts. This role involves training and supervising distributors and manufacturers' representatives, meeting sales quotas, and developing strategic account plans to enhance business growth. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

  • Meet assigned sales quota for the region, including new product and promotional sales and customer additions.
  • Create and sustain distributor and end user contractor relationships with influential decision makers.
  • Make end user calls to job sites and provide regular updates to management at key distributors.
  • Attend tradeshows to develop a strong customer base and follow up with customers after each event.
  • Develop strategic account plans for manufacturers' representatives and distributors.
  • Execute strategies/programs to maximize sales while upholding margins with key accounts.
  • Participate in annual, quarterly, and monthly planning with top national accounts.
  • Prospect for new customers and channels of distribution, adding distributors and stocking locations as necessary.
  • Complete and submit all reports as needed, maintaining accurate records in CRM software.
  • Ensure company property is accounted for and maintained properly, implementing all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree and five (5) years of regional sales experience required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Proven record of continued growth and success in sales.
  • Must be bondable and possess a valid driver's license at all times.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and function in an environment of changing priorities under tight time constraints.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong team focus and ability to work collaboratively with others.
