About the position

Splunk is seeking a hardworking and driven sales professional to join our team as a Regional Sales Manager, focusing on large enterprise accounts. In this role, you will be an individual contributor responsible for driving significant revenue growth. You will have the opportunity to make valuable contributions from day one while also building opportunities for learning and growth. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will establish a vision and plan to guide your long-term approach to pipeline generation. You will consistently deliver on license, support, and service revenue targets, demonstrating dedication to achieving numbers and meeting deadlines. Your responsibilities will include landing, adopting, expanding, and deepening sales opportunities, exploring relationships across the client's entire organization, and becoming known as a thought leader in machine learning and predictive analytics. You will also expand relationships and orchestrate complex deals across diverse business stakeholders, holistically embrace and apply the channel to identify new opportunities, and work collaboratively with your team for the efficient use of resources. Additionally, you will provide timely and informative input back to other corporate functions to enhance overall performance.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct sales experience selling enterprise software to large enterprises in fast-growing environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience applying partners, channels, and alliances to sell more efficiently.
  • Relevant software experience in IT systems, enterprise management, application development, DevOps, security, business applications, or analytics.
  • Consistent track record of new business development and overachieving sales targets.
  • Strong executive presence and excellent listening skills.
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques; knowledge of Force Management, MEDDPICC, and Challenger methodologies is a plus.
