About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Hydraulics is responsible for driving sales of software solutions within the EMEA region, specifically targeting the onshore oil and gas industry in the USA. This role involves managing the entire sales process, achieving sales targets, and contributing to the unit's goals for order intake, revenues, and market penetration. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with clients and industry partners.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell the company’s existing software and training services by identifying and managing opportunities in targeted markets.
  • Manage the entire sales process in accordance with company systems and policies.
  • Participate in sales forecasting and planning by building and delivering an accurate opportunity pipeline.
  • Assist with executing short and long-range sales and marketing plans.
  • Engage with the Sales team and other colleagues to support profitable growth and customer success.
  • Support and promote established relationships with industry and solution partners.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and identify business opportunities.
  • Gather intelligence to understand client business issues and challenges.
  • Lead or participate in contract negotiations as applicable.
  • Use Salesforce to manage and record all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Develop and grow relationships within the global sales team and share customer intelligence.
  • Participate in global sales team gatherings and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience of 7+ years in sales and account management.
  • Solid technical operations familiarity with the natural gas distribution or natural gas/liquids transmission markets.
  • Previous sales experience in the Energy, Oil & Gas, Hydrocarbon industries.
  • Proven ability to develop a sales funnel in new market segments via hunting.
  • Demonstrated account management ability including stakeholder mapping.
  • Effective communication skills, particularly listening skills with colleagues and customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain profitable relationships with customers.
  • Thorough understanding of negotiating and closing in a win-win environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the region and internationally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Specific experience with DNV’s Digital Solutions Software.
  • Experience selling Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • Demonstrated success selling Enterprise Software Solutions at the senior level.
