About the position

The Regional Sales Manager at Convelo is responsible for driving financial performance in the assigned region by creating and managing new business production plans, developing significant relationships, and achieving profitability in coordination with underwriting partners. This role requires a strong focus on territory distribution and positioning Convelo as a leading partner for various organizations, including non-profits and educational institutions. The manager will also provide leadership in sales processes and product expertise while adhering to high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Drive financial performance of assigned region
  • Create, manage, and meet/exceed annual new business production plan
  • Create, manage, and meet/exceed a direct written premium plan
  • Achieve/exceed profitability in coordination with Underwriting partners
  • Develop and implement an annual regional sales plan in partnership with Underwriting
  • Manage Territory Distribution
  • Position Convelo as a lead partner organization for Non-Profits, Human Services, Education Institutions, and/or Religious Organizations
  • Develop annual agency/broker business plans with select partners
  • Differentiate distribution support based on agency assessments
  • Provide Leadership of Territory and Expertise of Sales Process & Products
  • Schedule and run agency visits with distribution partners
  • Collaborate with Underwriting on account pipeline development
  • Conduct regular territory reviews with Underwriting
  • Assist in development & understanding of competitors products & pricing strategies
  • Develops & adheres to annual regional budget

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business or related field
  • Professional designations (CIC, CPCU, ARM) highly desired
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of commercial lines insurance experience
  • 3+ years of territory/region management experience
  • Prior underwriting experience preferred
  • E&S experience a plus
