About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Industrial Heat Tracing at nVent is responsible for leading industrial channel sales across the Southwestern US territory. This role focuses on promoting nVent's Industrial Heating Solutions, developing relationships with industrial clients, and collaborating with manufacturer's rep firms to drive growth. The position requires a strong technical background and involves significant travel to meet clients and present solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead industrial channel sales in the Southwestern US territory (TX/OK/AZ/CO/WY/NM).
  • Promote nVent's Industrial Heating Solutions capabilities to develop and secure business opportunities.
  • Initiate, maintain, and grow relationships with industrial clients in the region.
  • Collaborate with existing manufacturer's rep firms to enhance sales efforts.
  • Work with Regional Sales & Operations Leadership to implement growth strategies.
  • Coordinate Proposal & Estimating activities with functional teams.
  • Prepare and present strategic product and services presentations to clients.
  • Regularly update and manage the Salesforce.com CRM tool.

Requirements

  • An academic background in a technical field is helpful.
  • 5+ years of related work experience in industrial sales, preferably in electrical sales.
  • Experience leading 3rd party manufacturing rep agencies or distribution is beneficial.
  • Ability to work from a home office and travel 60% of the time.
  • Integrity, passion, and strong in-person presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of technical sales principles and practices.
  • Outstanding listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with high energy and passion.
