About the position

The Regional Sales Manager at Splunk is a key individual contributor role focused on driving revenue growth by engaging with large enterprise accounts. This position requires a results-oriented sales professional who can articulate the value of Splunk's enterprise solutions and establish long-term relationships with clients. The role emphasizes pipeline generation, achieving sales targets, and collaborating with various stakeholders to expand business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a vision and plan for long-term pipeline generation.
  • Consistently deliver license, support, and service revenue targets.
  • Land, adopt, expand, and deepen sales opportunities.
  • Explore relationships and business possibilities across the client's organization.
  • Become a thought-leader in machine learning and predictive analytics.
  • Expand relationships and orchestrate complex deals across diverse stakeholders.
  • Utilize the channel to identify and open new opportunities.
  • Collaborate as a team for efficient resource deployment.
  • Provide timely and informative input to other corporate functions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct sales experience selling enterprise software to large enterprises in competitive environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong familiarity with customers and use-cases in the manufacturing or supply chain industries.
  • Experience utilizing partners, channels, and alliances to sell successfully.
  • Relevant software industry experience in IT systems, enterprise management, application development, DevOps, security, business applications, or analytics.
  • Consistent track record of new business development and overachieving sales targets.
  • Strong executive presence and excellent listening skills.
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques; knowledge of Force Management, MEDDPICC, and Challenger methodologies is a plus.
