About the position

The purpose of this position is to increase sales of all Hensley product groups in the Midwest United States, which includes maintaining excellent communication with management and other Hensley personnel. The role involves supervising the selection and development of dealers in the territory while working with key end users. This is a remote position, and the preferred candidate should be based in MN, WI, IA, or MO, in close proximity to a major airport. Additionally, the candidate must become familiar with Hensley's Safety and Environmental Policies.

Responsibilities

  • Increase sales volume in respective territory for Construction, Mining, and Attachment's product lines for existing/new dealers and customers.
  • Plan an itinerary and conduct calls on a weekly basis, reporting activities in call reports.
  • Work through dealers and direct to locate all opportunities for sales in the territory, including end user visits, new projects, conversions to the Hensley product, and take positive action to capitalize on these opportunities.
  • Direct dealer sales efforts by setting target sales, specific end users, and specific products through the joint working plans.
  • Motivate and train dealer personnel at all levels about the application of Hensley's product offering, Hensley policies, pricing programs, and how to provide added value support to the end users.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, conventions, trade shows, and dealer schools as requested.
  • Aid in the development of new products, including communicating ideas for new product development or modification to current products.
  • Facilitate the testing and research of new products conversions to new uses and applications.
  • Report and resolve dealer problems concerning product warranty, inventory maintenance, payments, and pricing issues.
  • Collect and report relevant information about competition and marketing activities on the territory such as competitive product offerings and pricing practices as well as customer dynamics affecting business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, or related field.
  • Demonstrates a customer-oriented and aggressive sales attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (writing and verbal).
  • Able to successfully manage multiple projects at once with a sense of drive and strong attention to detail.
  • 5 years of sales experience.
  • Experience in the mining and construction markets is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience with GET is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentations.
  • Willingness to travel to visit customers and dealers within the Northeast Region.
