About the position

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for integrating company objectives and strategies to drive sales results in the Naperville, IL region. This role involves supervising Division Sales Managers and Regional Account Managers, leveraging industry knowledge to enhance revenue, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies. The position requires collaboration with internal and external sales channels to optimize coverage and promote company products effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and develop individual team members to improve skills and performance.
  • Create a positive environment while supervising Division Sales Managers and Regional Account Managers.
  • Coach and motivate the team for executional excellence.
  • Engage with leadership to share key customer requirements and identify opportunities for leverage.
  • Support Regional Account Managers in implementing Joint Business Planning (JBP) processes.
  • Partner with top customers in the region to align objectives.
  • Optimize retail store coverage designs with Division Sales Managers to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Direct team resources to meet productivity objectives on a store-by-store basis.
  • Identify opportunities for improved results in the region.
  • Maximize effectiveness of Merchandising Fixtures/Displays/POS at retail.
  • Drive adoption of formal Customer Joint Business Plans (JBP's) at top accounts.
  • Support customized selling plans that resonate with retailers.
  • Identify sales opportunities and collaborate with Division resources.
  • Implement the area go-to-market approach for the region.
  • Cascade Sales strategies and key initiatives down to the Account and Sales Representative level.
  • Be accountable for delivering assigned Sales KPI's and key initiatives across region customers and retail stores.
  • Strategically analyze the regional landscape and develop win/win solutions.
  • Help team gain and maintain acceptance of using the 'ITG Portal' for reimbursement and tracking.
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices across the Region and internally.
  • Solicit and report customer and competitive insights to identify critical sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5+ years related sales experience, including roles such as regional sales manager or strategic account manager.
  • Experience managing and leading channel partners and/or independent sales reps.
  • Experience with driving sales performance in a team environment.
  • 3+ years direct supervision/managerial experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license issued from state of residence.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication, attention to detail, problem/situation analysis, effective time and task management, multitasking capabilities, flexibility and adaptability.
