About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Schwan's Company will be responsible for executing sales programs to promote Schwan's products within foodservice distribution, K12/Bids, and Non-Commercial accounts in the assigned geography. This role emphasizes building relationships, managing sales activities, and achieving business goals while working closely with the Zone Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Area K12 Bid and Commodity results.
  • Lead and execute assigned customer events (distributor & operator).
  • Direct the activities of distributors to achieve annual sales quotas and business goals.
  • Plan and execute a 'Go to Market' strategy to deliver growth in market, with results measured in salesforce.com.
  • Demonstrate quality and advantage of Schwan's products to clients to gain sales and establish accounts.
  • Analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential, inventory requirements, and customer preferences.
  • Partner with Corporate Distribution Team to execute annual plans locally within market area.
  • Quote prices and credit terms, prepare sales contracts, and plan sales presentations and promotional events.
  • Monitor and analyze sales promotion results to determine cost effectiveness of promotion campaigns.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions, keep expense accounts, and update new customer data.
  • Confer with clients to provide marketing advice, technical advice, and customer service concerning products or services.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with purchasing contacts and resolve customer delivery problems.
  • Serve as primary contact with key customers and represent the company at trade shows and association meetings.
  • Assist Zone Sales Manager with recruiting, developing, and retaining a results-oriented Zone Sales Team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8+ years sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree and sales experience in the food or food service industry preferred.
  • Current relationships in foodservice sales with distribution and operators.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with top Food Service Distributors.

  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple Food Service channels both Commercial & non-commercial.
  • Proven self-starter and results-oriented individual who has demonstrated ability to deliver on sales plan goals.
  • Proven ability to develop business relationships and direct sales activities.
  • Experience establishing sales quotas and planning market strategies.
