About the position

Ale-8-One Bottling Company is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, driven individual with a passion for sales to fill the position of Regional Sales Manager in Nashville. This role is pivotal in developing, maintaining, and growing On and Off Premise account volume within the Nashville area. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to generate, execute, and close sales calls on targeted accounts, drive awareness of brand availability, execute the look of success, sell and implement campaigns, and develop strong customer relations coupled with excellent customer care and service. Communication is essential to the success of this role, as the Regional Sales Manager will frequently interact with customers and other sales/distribution teams. Strategic thinking is also crucial, as this position requires planning and executing on-premise sales while developing creative ideas to enhance sales effectiveness. Project management skills are necessary for planning and executing sales initiatives, managing target lists, and ensuring the success of sales efforts. The position involves business development and sales, working both individually and with distributor sales teams to secure new accounts. The Regional Sales Manager will introduce the brand to on and off-premise locations, develop target lists of accounts that do not currently carry the product, execute and close sales calls, track daily sales activity, manage the customer base through a CRM tool, and monitor sales performance to meet or exceed targets. Additionally, the role includes maintaining customer relationships, understanding customer business needs, and coordinating marketing campaigns and sampling events to drive brand awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and grow On and Off Premise account volume within the Nashville area.
  • Generate, execute, and close sales calls on targeted accounts.
  • Drive awareness of brand availability and execute sales campaigns.
  • Develop strong customer relations and provide excellent customer care and service.
  • Work individually and with distributor sales teams to secure new accounts.
  • Introduce the brand to on and off-premise locations and secure new accounts.
  • Develop target lists of accounts that do not currently carry the product.
  • Track daily sales call activity and manage customer base through a CRM tool.
  • Monitor sales performance and aim to meet or exceed targets.
  • Understand distribution and pricing for target market/locations and ensure distribution is established after the sale.
  • Monitor and report actual sales and distribution versus targets.
  • Review store inventory and make recommendations for order levels.
  • Prepare annual market plans, sales forecasting, and budget.
  • Create and implement programs that will drive growth for the company and customer.
  • Work with the Marketing department to develop POS and sales sheets for targeted channels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships in and around the sales territory.
  • Gain a clear understanding of customer business and needs.
  • Provide regular support to customers and review their needs.
  • Create relationships with distributors and key customers to keep the brand top of mind.
  • Communicate upcoming product development and special promotions with customers.
  • Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns and sampling events with new accounts.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years beverage sales experience.
  • Willingness to travel between Nashville, TN and Lexington, KY and elsewhere as needed.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Strong planning and analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Sales and Key Account experience in large and small store formats.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation development skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and must be able to adapt to new technologies.
  • Possess strong and self-directed organizational skills and planning capabilities.
  • Must meet Ale-8-One's Behavior Standard to maintain a positive work atmosphere.
