About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for the New England and Mid-Atlantic Territory is responsible for driving sales growth in the specified regions. This role focuses on identifying and developing metal finishing opportunities, particularly in thermal spray and fluoropolymer coating applications, while managing existing customer relationships. The position requires significant travel and interaction with various stakeholders to ensure successful sales processes and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new prospects, contact, and qualify leads.
  • Actively set up appointments to further the sales process.
  • Effectively present the company to potential candidates.
  • Interface with Sales Director, Customer Service, and Production to quote new jobs.
  • Service existing accounts on a limited basis to answer questions regarding technical and delivery issues.
  • Enter sales activity in Salesforce CRM database.
  • Update Sales Director on industry trends and sales forecasts.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years of sales experience in Thermal Spray and Polymer Coating industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or ACT CRM.
  • Competence in a Windows-based PC environment utilizing MS products such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Value added selling training in technical applications and negotiating.
  • Experience in business to business technical sales.
