The Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast Territory will play a crucial role in establishing and promoting the McWane Plumbing Group within the cast iron and coupling market. This position is based in Tyler, Texas, but focuses on a territory that includes the Philadelphia area, Upstate New York, New York City, and Maine. The individual will work under the general direction of the Area General Sales Manager and will be responsible for directing, maintaining, and growing the contractor and distributor base in the assigned territory. This involves building meaningful business relationships with industry contractors, wholesalers, and distributors to gather important market information and provide quality customer service in support of sales and profitability goals. The role requires a proactive approach to establishing a strong presence in the territory, which includes gathering and providing market insights such as estimated total market tons, distribution tons, and competitor analysis. The Regional Sales Manager will also collaborate with Manufacturer Representative agencies as applicable and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all distributors, independent owners, and regional and national companies within the territory. Administrative duties are also a key component of this role, including submitting weekly reports to the Area General Sales Manager, preparing timely and accurate expense reports, and drafting written proposals for events and trade shows. The individual will set and monitor progress on goals and strategies for the next 120 days, as well as provide tonnage updates. In addition to these responsibilities, the Regional Sales Manager will build and maintain relationships with all entities involved in commerce, including distributors, contractors, and other stakeholders. These relationships are defined as personal connections that influence sales, gather information, and provide market details.
