About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for the Ontario-Atlantic region will be responsible for executing the Food Service Division's strategic plan and annual operating plan objectives. This role involves leading a direct sales team, driving performance, and coordinating with national marketing and culinary teams to achieve market growth targets. The position requires a hybrid work schedule and is based near the Canadian headquarters in Woodbridge, ON.

Responsibilities

  • Drive associate performance and engagement through leadership initiatives.
  • Develop and train the direct sales force in effective sales techniques and company infrastructure.
  • Conduct quarterly performance and objectives conversations with direct reports.
  • Mentor and coach the sales organization to enhance individual development plans.
  • Establish processes and procedures for the direct sales force in collaboration with FSD and Canadian HQ.
  • Execute assigned support of FSD strategic plans and tactical imperatives.
  • Co-develop and execute market plans within the assigned geography with the National Sales Manager.
  • Achieve volume and margin plans by segment, including growth and new product targets.
  • Build and coordinate execution of individual market plans and governance structures.
  • Maintain transparent governance of market accountabilities, including volume, sales, and promotional calendars.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Food Service Industry sales or business development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a direct salesforce or brokers, with strong talent management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or post-secondary education in marketing, business, economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience in managing teams and projects effectively.
  • Proven change management capabilities and competency in influencing and negotiating.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of product and P&L management, with strong business acumen.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Competency in sales management and systems, with strong PC proficiency including Microsoft Office and CRM software.
