About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Sports Capital at Johnson & Johnson is a field-based sales role responsible for managing the Sports Capital Portfolio in the Eastern US. This position involves leading a team of Sales Consultants and Capital Specialists to drive sales strategies, operations, and budgets. The manager will develop and execute business plans, build relationships with clinical and economic champions, and ensure customer satisfaction while achieving regional sales objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory business plans for targeted accounts.
  • Build relationships with clinical and economic champions to understand customer needs.
  • Present and negotiate capital pricing and program performance terms with customers.
  • Support new customers in the clinical adoption of technologies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by meeting clinical and economic goals.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of assigned capital equipment products and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sales strategies.
  • Report any complaints or technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Travel to meet and support customers with technical product issues.
  • Drive business results by working closely with Capital Sales Consultants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 8 years of relevant professional or military experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of capital equipment sales or commercialization experience.
  • Ability to communicate technical product knowledge to surgeons and economic buyers.
  • Experience in a critical patient care setting or with complex technical systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership in business planning and project management.
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to mentor field sales talent.
  • Ability to learn and communicate capital acquisition financial models.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, up to 75% of the time.
