About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Sports Capital at Johnson & Johnson is a field-based sales role responsible for managing sales strategies and operations for the Sports Capital Portfolio in the Eastern US. This position involves leading a team of Sales Consultants and Specialists, developing business plans, and driving capital sales processes to meet regional objectives. The role requires collaboration with clinical teams and a strong understanding of capital selling processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory business plans for targeted accounts.
  • Build relationships with clinical and economic champions to understand customer needs.
  • Present and negotiate capital pricing and program performance terms.
  • Support new customers in clinical adoption of technologies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by meeting clinical and economic goals.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of assigned capital equipment products and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sales strategies.
  • Report any complaints or technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Travel to meet and support customers as needed.
  • Drive business results by working closely with Capital Sales Consultants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 8 years of relevant professional or military experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of capital equipment sales or commercialization experience.
  • Ability to communicate technical product knowledge to surgeons and economic buyers.
  • Experience in complex technical systems or critical patient care settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership in business planning and project management.
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to mentor field sales talent.
  • Ability to learn and communicate capital acquisition financial models.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, up to 75% including overnight travel.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare sales or medical technology.
  • Familiarity with hospital and ASC settings.
