About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Sports Capital at Johnson & Johnson is responsible for leading sales strategies and operations for the Sports Capital Portfolio in the Western US. This field-based position requires the manager to develop and execute business plans, manage a team of sales consultants, and drive capital sales processes to meet regional objectives. The role involves collaboration with clinical teams and account management to ensure customer satisfaction and retention, while also maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory business plans for targeted accounts.
  • Build relationships with clinical and economic champions to understand customer needs.
  • Present and negotiate capital pricing and program performance terms with customers.
  • Support new customers in the clinical adoption of technologies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by helping them achieve their goals with new technology.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of assigned capital equipment products and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sales strategies.
  • Report any complaints or technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Travel to meet and support customers with technical product issues.
  • Drive business results by working closely with Capital Sales Consultants.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or 8 years of relevant professional or military experience.
  • At least 3 years of capital equipment sales or commercialization experience.
  • Ability to learn and communicate technical product knowledge to surgeons and economic buyers.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing field sales talent.
  • Demonstrated leadership in business planning and project management.
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to communicate financial models.
  • Ability to travel extensively, up to 75%, including overnight travel.
  • Experience working in a hospital or ASC setting.

  • Experience with complex technical systems in critical patient care settings.
