About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Sports Capital at Johnson & Johnson is a field-based sales role responsible for managing the Sports Capital Portfolio across the Western US. This position involves leading a team of Sales Consultants and Capital Specialists to drive sales strategies, operations, and budgets. The manager will develop and execute business plans, build relationships with clinical and economic champions, and ensure customer satisfaction while achieving regional sales objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory business plans for targeted accounts for the assigned portfolio of capital equipment.
  • Build relationships with clinical and economic champions to understand customer needs and capital buying cycles.
  • Present and negotiate capital pricing and program performance terms with customers.
  • Support new customers in the clinical adoption of technologies.
  • Ensure customers achieve their clinical and economic goals with new technology, driving customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of assigned capital equipment products and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute customer-specific sales strategies.
  • Report any complaints or technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Travel to meet and support customers with technical product or service-related issues.
  • Drive business results by working closely with Capital Sales Consultants to set and achieve territory objectives.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or 8 years of relevant professional or military experience.
  • At least 3 years of capital equipment sales or commercialization experience.
  • Ability to learn and communicate technical product and clinical knowledge to surgeons and economic buyers.
  • Experience working with complex technical systems in critical patient care settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop field sales talent.
  • Proven leadership in business planning and project management with documented sales achievements.
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to communicate capital acquisition financial models.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, up to 75%, including overnight travel within the assigned territory.
  • Ability to work in a hospital or ASC setting and attend live patient cases as required.
