About the position

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for selling Bigbelly waste units and software to new and existing accounts within the Pacific Northwest region. This individual contributor role requires both remote and in-person sales efforts, focusing on building a pipeline of sales opportunities with medium and large municipalities, colleges, and enterprise accounts. The position demands strategic selling over a 6-12 month sales cycle, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Sell new Bigbelly waste units and software to targeted new accounts and existing accounts within the assigned geography.
  • Conduct remote and in-person sales of the Bigbelly solution/system.
  • Manage a sales cycle of 6-12 months strategically.
  • Engage with decision-makers across targeted accounts to build a high-value pipeline of sales opportunities.
  • Perform outbound calling/emailing in the territory and conduct in-person sales calls.
  • Plan accounts and manage forecasts in collaboration with HQ marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct reviews with proprietary CLEAN Software and demonstrate to executive and mid-levels.
  • Focus on account management of assigned accounts in the territory.
  • Develop RFPs, contracts, and proposals as needed in support of the Sales and Marketing organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales/account management experience exceeding sales targets.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with MS Office and Salesforce.com.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team setting.
  • Prior experience selling to municipalities and universities is a plus.
  • Positive, determined, winning attitude.
  • Prior sales skills training courses, seminars, etc.
  • Experience in startup, small company, and large company environments.
  • Knowledge of IoT, SaaS, and capital sales.
  • Ability to sell across multiple stakeholders within the same account.
  • A true interest in sustainability, environment, and efficiency.
