About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Washington state at Busch Vacuum Solutions is responsible for managing all sales activities within the assigned territory, focusing on developing and delivering annual sales growth of vacuum products and services. This role requires a self-driven, experienced sales professional with a strong background in capital equipment sales, particularly in vacuum or rotating industrial equipment. The position involves significant travel, with up to 75% of the time dedicated to customer visits and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned sales territory to maintain existing business levels and develop new business for products and services.
  • Responsible for developing, managing, and training of the sales channels.
  • Provide for annual sales growth of Busch products and services.
  • Work with all internal departments in support of sales opportunities.
  • Develop long-term relationships with end users and OEM accounts, both individual and in support of the sales channels.
  • Maintain account profiles for specified Top Tier accounts.
  • Maintain an electronic customer database.
  • Develop a yearly target account list for the assigned sales territory.
  • Maintain company records and files.
  • Maintain, in good working order and physical condition, a company vehicle and other company equipment.
  • Utilize expense accounts with prudent judgment.
  • Dedicate a majority of time to planning, preparing, and conducting face-to-face customer visits.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience.
  • Vacuum or rotating industrial capital equipment experience (highly preferred).
  • Sales experience within the customer base (food processing, chemical, pharmaceutical, and aeronautical manufacturing) is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree (highly preferred), preferably in Engineering or Business.
  • Intermediate knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software.
  • High degree of technical/mechanical proficiency and aptitude.
