About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for XL Specialized Trailers is responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong sales presence in the Western United States. This role focuses on building customer relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring the company meets its revenue and performance goals. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying business opportunities and developing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies business opportunities by evaluating prospects and researching sales options.
  • Sells products by developing relationships with dealers and recommending solutions.
  • Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution of territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Maintains relationships with dealers by providing support, information, and guidance; recommends profit and service improvements.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding the company's sales and performance goals efficiently.
  • Develops Critical to Customer (CTC) metrics to enhance customer focus in market segments.
  • Stays current on industry trends to develop product improvements or new products.
  • Represents the company at trade shows to promote products.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintains quality service by enforcing organization standards.
  • Enhances professional knowledge by attending workshops and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • Self-starter and self-motivated individual
  • Computer literacy, including intermediate or advanced skills in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or related field
  • Four years' experience in heavy equipment sales
  • Verifiable track record of lead generation
  • Valid driver's license
  • U.S. Passport
