About the position

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving revenue and pricing quality objectives within a designated territory. This role involves strategic and tactical management of representative and distribution firms, focusing on both new unit sales and service. The manager will actively engage with existing partners and seek to upgrade to new partners as necessary, ensuring that the representatives are motivated and competent. The position requires direct interaction with wastewater plants and engineering firms, hosting training and sales meetings, and maintaining strong relationships to drive sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue and pricing quality objectives for the territory on a quarterly basis.
  • Manage existing representative and distribution firms while upgrading to new partners when appropriate.
  • Direct field appointments at wastewater plants and engineering firms.
  • Host regional training and sales meetings to enhance partner capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to foster accountability and camaraderie.
  • Conduct strategic monthly meetings with representatives to discuss performance and action plans.
  • Develop budgets and strategic plans with representative firms to meet objectives.
  • Create a pipeline of prospects to support revenue expectations.
  • Assess market trends to drive innovation in products and services.
  • Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding market and representative performance.
  • Coordinate resolution of customer service issues.
  • Represent the company at regional and national trade shows and conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in municipal wastewater equipment sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets through representative and distribution firms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Expertise in organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in technology and analysis tools (CRM, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Self-driven with a high sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  • Ability to travel 50%-75% of the time.
