About the position

The Segment Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies within assigned market segments to drive revenue growth and market share. This role involves aligning the company's products and services with market needs and trends, serving as a subject matter expert for internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive business plan including objectives, target market, and key strategies for capturing new business and growing market share.
  • Identify marquee and target accounts within the industry and build a targeted sales strategy that includes value propositions and key differentiators.
  • Engage key partners who bring industry domain knowledge and whose solutions complement our portfolio.
  • Manage end-to-end customer engagement from needs discovery to implementation handoff.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare reports for upper management, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Maintain CRM with customer and partner data in a standardized method.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience selling disruptive SaaS solutions to large organizations in Industrial markets.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strategic mindset with a successful track record of developing account strategies and meeting targets.
  • Excellent communication and technical skills to develop relationships with executive, operational, and IT personnel.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach toward products, markets, and clients' business challenges.
  • Experience selling RTLS solutions is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and CRM software such as Salesforce.com.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals and specifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a technology industry with an aptitude for understanding technical product details and specifications.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills specific to field sales presentations and software demonstrations.
  • Background working in both direct and indirect sales models.
  • Experience working with and enabling channel partners.
