ALMACO is looking for a Regional Sales professional for our sales team. As a Regional Sales Manager, you'll work as part of a sales team, supporting our customers in growing the business. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, service, engineering, and manufacturing. You will be a trusted expert, partnering with our clients to determine what equipment, customizations, and innovative solutions can advance their business goals. You will develop and maintain relationships, collaborate on custom equipment solutions, negotiate, and successfully close each sale. This is a full-time position with flexible day-shift hours. Work can be completed remotely from your home office or on-site at our headquarters in central Iowa, with required travel to customer sites throughout the United States. The territory is flexible and dependent on the candidate's location and business needs. The territory for this position is flexible based on the candidate's location and may cover either the Midwest, Southeast or Eastern portion of the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Support customers in growing the business as part of a sales team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, service, engineering, and manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Partner with clients to determine equipment and customizations that advance their business goals.
  • Negotiate and successfully close sales.

Requirements

  • Successful professional experience in sales.
  • Experience with the sales process and knowledge of effective techniques.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that meets insurance requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with capital sales, including agricultural equipment, construction equipment, or other large-scale equipment.
  • Experience with seed research or the agricultural industry.
  • Experience selling customized equipment.
