About the position

The Regional Sales Manager at OOCL USA Inc. is responsible for sourcing new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing customers within the maritime delivery services sector. This remote position requires the candidate to reside in the Chicago area to meet customer needs. The role involves understanding regulatory and company policies, improving business processes, and collaborating with multiple terminals to tailor business development strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new customers using all available sources.
  • Meet with customers to discuss needs and assess the quality of the relationship.
  • Provide assistance to external/internal customers regarding inland transportation and rates.
  • Assist with collections for delinquent customers.
  • Perform general office duties.

Requirements

  • 2 years of business development experience in trucking or related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years of domestic intermodal trucking experience.
  • Knowledge of sourcing new business opportunities using online resources and cold calls.
