About the position

The Regional Sales Manager at Pentair will lead the sales team for Pentair Pool in Greater Texas, focusing on channel sales development and managing a team of sales professionals. This role involves strategic planning to drive revenue and market share growth while maintaining strong relationships with distributors and customers. The position requires a blend of leadership, sales expertise, and collaboration with various internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and business success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of sales professionals by setting vision and strategy for the team and serving as a role model through coaching and development of direct reports.
  • Develop & execute annual revenue plans, including providing quarterly, semi-annual, and annual formal business reports.
  • Review sales performance of distributors, channel partners, and sales representatives on a regular basis through quarterly, mid-year, and annual business reviews.
  • Meet with sales organization, distributors, dealers, and other customers on a regular basis to develop & maintain strong relationships built on mutual strategies and alignment to product lines and production capability.
  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, customer service, product development, and applications engineering staff to best serve the customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.).
  • 7+ years of professional sales experience, with at least 3 years in a people leadership role, preferably in the swimming pool or related industries.
  • Demonstrated expertise with managing distribution partners and working with strategic accounts preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to use relevant software programs (e.g., Microsoft Suite, Salesforce CRM, etc.).
