About the position

The Regional Sales Manager will strategically plan, execute, and manage the sales and marketing efforts for a portfolio of assigned hotels, focusing on driving top-line revenue and enhancing customer relationships. The role requires a strong background in hotel sales, particularly with IHG, Marriott, and Hilton brands, and involves significant outside sales activities.

Responsibilities

  • Complete weekly sales activities to assigned hotels as directed by the Regional Director of Sales.
  • Aggressively solicit new business and meet assigned goals.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients through verbal and written channels.
  • Conduct onsite and digital presentations to potential clients.
  • Implement strategic account management to develop multiple contacts within client organizations.
  • Execute strategic sales plans to positively impact revenues within the assigned portfolio.
  • Review and monitor brand reports to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Respond to customer inquiries within 4 hours and fully qualify all accounts.
  • Monitor local business opportunities through various resources.
  • Network with organizations to develop future opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Operation Partners to deliver revenue results and maintain communication with the sales team and management.
  • Partner with account executives from Marriott, Hilton, and IHG to refer leads and enhance sales efforts.
  • Communicate account details accurately to operating departments and understand hotel operations.
  • Participate in front-line training and communicate with Revenue Management to adjust selling strategies as needed.
  • Enter all sales activities in Delphi and maintain account information.
  • Compile and complete sales reports as assigned and attend scheduled sales training.
  • Participate in company-wide sales efforts and corporate events.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in multi-hotel sales discipline preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to handle sales and marketing for multiple hotels.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Initiative, perseverance, and analytical skills are essential.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate issues and concerns at all levels of the organization.
  • Planning and problem-solving skills that link strategies to results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Delphi sales software.
