About the position

The Regional Sales Manager is a segment specialist focused on growing and maintaining sales of commercial laundry products within a designated segment or channel. This role involves executing results-oriented sales strategies, building and maintaining relationships with independent distributors, and providing pre- and post-sales support across various areas.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual sales, mix and/or margin targets established by the General Manager for the assigned segment.
  • Evaluate, manage, and develop sales channel partners within assigned geography, including annual sales target planning and monthly performance reviews.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with independent distribution personnel to establish mutual respect and participation in strategic business practices.
  • Implement company-directed sales programs, promotions, and strategies to achieve volume and profit plans while expanding market penetration.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with accounts, aiding in training on product features, revenue enhancement opportunities, and technical support.
  • Stay abreast of competitive activity in the assigned sales territory regarding products, promotional materials, sales techniques, pricing, warranty, and marketing practices.
  • Provide feedback to Product Management and GM to help identify emerging market and customer trends and opportunities.
  • Participate in product launches and trade shows.
  • Complete weekly sales reports/trip reports and monthly expense reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 2+ years of sales and marketing experience.
  • Solid financial acumen; able to understand implications of sales decisions and drive margin improvements.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and professionally across levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to self-manage workload and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Systems-proficient, particularly in MS Office products.
  • Demonstrates curiosity; strong analytical and research skills to proactively identify appropriate solutions.
  • Resilient; able to confidently navigate ambiguity and change.
  • Proficient at translating technical product information into sales strategy to drive revenue.
