About the position

Eaton's Industrial Controls Division is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead growth opportunities in the Western United States. This remote position requires approximately 75% travel and focuses on building strong customer relationships, driving sales growth, and coordinating product initiatives. The role involves mentoring sales engineers, developing executive relationships, and establishing Eaton as a technical leader in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate regional growth and profit initiatives by identifying target customers and strategic product initiatives.
  • Build organizational capabilities across regional sales and product line teams to deliver organic growth.
  • Provide mentoring and leadership to local Sales Engineers to ensure consistent strategy and messaging.
  • Develop executive relationships with target accounts and drive synergy between locations.
  • Work with the North American Sales team to maintain and grow profitable business through customer relationships.
  • Establish Eaton as a technical leader through participation in industry organizations.
  • Coordinate strategic issues for assigned regions and leverage diverse skills from supporting functions.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to develop new products and solutions that meet industry needs.
  • Lead sales efforts around opportunity identification, pursuit, and closure.
  • Provide Voice of Customer feedback for product development and quality improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, sales management, marketing, or product management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical industry.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Product management experience.
  • Background knowledge of distribution channels within the industry.
  • Experience with industrial controls and/or automation in the electrical industry.
