About the position

The Regional Sales Manager will oversee the profitable revenue growth of Wastequip's container and Toter plastic carts across the WV, OH, and MI regions. This remote position requires managing existing customer relationships while identifying and developing new business opportunities. The role involves meeting sales goals, utilizing Salesforce.com for pipeline management, and providing customer support and training.

Responsibilities

  • Manage profitable revenue growth of Wastequip container and Toter plastic carts for WV, OH, and MI.
  • Meet sales goals and objectives with existing customers.
  • Identify and develop new customers in private and municipal markets.
  • Prepare proposals and administer presentations to municipal and private sector waste and recycling haulers.
  • Negotiate and control all aspects of the sale.
  • Attend trade shows and industry association meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors in the territory.
  • Assist customers in choosing the correct product for their application through site surveys and assessments.
  • Provide high customer satisfaction and after-sale support.
  • Conduct sales training for customers and assist their sales teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience, preferably in the waste/recycling industry.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Sales experience with equipment B2B sales or equipment sales desired.
  • Must complete hands-on product training within 90 days of hire.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM tool.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to travel 50-75%, typically 2-3 nights per week.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of an organization.
  • Project management skills.
