About the position
The Regional Sales Manager at Harrington Industrial Plastics is responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies for assigned branches. This role involves establishing goals for the sales team, monitoring sales expenses, and ensuring adherence to approved sales techniques. The manager will actively engage with key accounts, conduct sales calls, and follow up on project bids to secure orders. Additionally, the position requires assisting in the budgeting process and analyzing financial reports to enhance profitability and reduce costs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies for assigned branches.
- Establish goals and objectives for the sales team.
- Monitor sales expenses and ensure adherence to approved sales techniques and tools.
- Engage with key accounts and conduct individual or joint sales calls.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Follow up on project bids to secure orders and address product/service issues.
- Assist in the budgeting process by preparing preliminary financial data.
- Review monthly financial reports and analyze them for opportunities to enhance profitability and reduce costs.
- Share financial insights with the sales team to ensure alignment.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience or training in industrial wholesale distribution, preferably in the pipe, valve and fitting industry.
- 3 years of outside sales experience.
- 3 years of management experience.
