About the position

The Regional Sales Manager at Clean Earth is responsible for providing sales leadership and direction to a team of Regional Account Managers (RAM) within a designated geography. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize revenue and profits, managing the sales cycle, and ensuring effective communication between various departments and customers. The position requires a strong focus on customer service and the ability to drive growth through both existing and new customer acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, direction, and management of field team of Sales personnel within designated region to achieve objectives.
  • Directs and manages the recruiting, hiring, training, and development of sales staff.
  • Serves as a regional liaison between Regional Sales Team and various operational departments and customers.
  • Direct and manage sales productivity and profitability to achieve designated profit and revenue objectives.
  • Manages the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contract renewals.
  • Coordinate, implement, and manage regional account sales strategies.
  • Drive Clean Earth commercial strategies for growth and success.
  • Operate within designated expense budgets and report regional sales results.
  • Develops and maintains pricing models for major markets and implements service agreements.
  • Work with Technical Sales team to drive Cross Selling within accounts in the Region.
  • Ensure adoption and regular usage of Clean Earth CRM system by self and direct reports.
  • Ensure performance of Clean Earth Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for self and direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science-related field, Sales, or Marketing, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of sales experience with demonstrated leadership activities.
  • Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience using a CRM system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in high-stress environments and manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%-50% of the time.
