About the position

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) at Jazz Pharmaceuticals is responsible for leading the Sleep sales force within a designated region. This role involves managing a team of Specialty Sales Consultants, ensuring compliance in the promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals' products, and executing marketing strategies to achieve sales objectives. The RSM will also engage in cross-functional communication and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Specialty Sales Consultants with a focus on retail and specialty pharmacy distribution channels.
  • Recruit and select high-performing Specialty Sales Consultants.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to develop a motivated sales team.
  • Conduct regular performance feedback through virtual and face-to-face interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement the company's marketing plan and communicate direction to regional staff.
  • Execute launch strategies for new products and ensure proper market positioning.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the region's managed care access environment.
  • Partner with the Managed Markets team to support sales objectives.
  • Establish communication procedures for achieving regional objectives.
  • Oversee the utilization of corporate resources and assets.
  • Present a professional image of Jazz Pharmaceuticals and ensure ethical marketing practices.
  • Achieve sales forecasts and targets while managing budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; post-graduate degree preferred.
  • At least three years of pharmaceutical sales management experience, preferably with a specialty sales team.
  • Five years of medical/pharmaceutical product sales experience, including specialist/hospital sales experience in sleep or CNS/Neuroscience.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare payment and reimbursement systems.
  • Experience in planning and executing successful product launches.
  • Proven ability to lead sales teams in a virtual environment.
  • Experience in managed care pull-through initiatives.
  • Extensive travel required.
