About the position

The Regional Sales Manager for Taylor Construction Equipment will represent designated product lines in the Central KY, Louisville, and Elizabethtown area. The role focuses on meeting or exceeding sales volume objectives, developing long-lasting customer relationships, and maintaining a strong corporate image. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for building relationships and driving Heavy Construction Equipment Sales in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a prospecting & expansion strategy including territory forecasts for sales, rental sales, and inventory levels.
  • Develop new business relationships within the territory.
  • Provide product demos and training sessions to end-users covering basic use, application, service, and warranty information.
  • Identify market needs and growth opportunities to develop a prospecting plan.
  • Promote company services including after sales, parts stocking, and finance programs.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on sales and market activity to upper management.
  • Research markets to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Use a consultative approach to ensure customer satisfaction and recommend brand solutions.
  • Possess knowledge of equipment features, benefits, and attachments for sale or rent.
  • Analyze market data and trends to suggest pricing and product adjustments.
  • Work cross-functionally with product support to resolve technical issues.
  • Communicate new product launches and advancements with marketing.
  • Be an active member of industry associations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of proven sales experience in the construction equipment industry at the dealer level.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build relationships within an organization.
  • Knowledge of the Central KY, Louisville & Elizabethtown area construction customer base.
  • Experience with financial processes and selling heavy machinery.
  • Microsoft Office competence (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while providing exemplary customer service.
