About the position

The Division of Family & Community Services is seeking to hire an energetic and detail-oriented individual to serve as the Regional Service Delivery Coordinator for a regional office. This position serves as a regional level administrator in the integration of initiatives and strategies to achieve service delivery goals for regional Family Community Resource Centers in the Division of Family and Community Services. The Division helps Illinois residents by connecting them with many programs and services. Through our programs, services and prevention efforts, the Division improves the health and well-being of individuals and promotes self-sufficiency and integrity of families of Illinois. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with higher level and lower-level positions within the agency. The individual must be able to analyze information from reports and observation, provide technical assistance for administrators and staff. The individual must be able to maintain the integrity of confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Works with regional level managers and Family and Community Resource Center Administrators in the integration of initiatives and strategies to achieve service delivery goals.
  • Provides pro-active managerial oversight of the FCRC's designed to improve and maintain accurate and timely delivery of services.
  • Provides managerial development.
  • Provides support and assists the FCRC administrative teams regarding staffing transactions and reports.
  • Translates functions/procedures into Spanish for individuals who cannot speak or read English, in contacts with the public, advocacy groups, customers and community organizations.
  • Promotes and maintains working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Serves as customer service liaison.
  • Performs other duties as or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college.
  • Requires three (3) years progressively responsible administrative experience in a health or human services organization.
  • Requires the ability to speak, read and write in Spanish at a colloquial skill level.

Nice-to-haves

  • Three (3) years of professional administrative experience working with welfare programs for a public or private organization.
  • Three (3) years of professional administrative experience meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail and the ability to utilize critical thinking skills while multi-tasking multiple projects.
  • Three (3) years of professional administrative experience organizing, planning, executing, controlling, and evaluating the operations of service delivery process for a public or private organization.
  • Three (3) years of professional administrative experience providing assistance to staff to ensure the accurate and timely benefits in service delivery.
  • Three (3) years of professional administrative experience in public assistance systems that are designed to improve and maintain the actions of welfare programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Cash and Medicaid programs.
  • Three (3) years of professional administrative experience performing quality control assessments and monitoring activities for a public or private business organization.
