About the position

The Program Coordinator III (Facility Manager) role at the Massachusetts National Guard involves overseeing and coordinating the maintenance and repair of buildings and related structures. Responsibilities

  • Oversees and participates in the work of employees engaged in the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of buildings and related structures.
  • Inspects buildings and utility systems to determine maintenance needs and cost of materials required for repairs.
  • Inspects work in progress and completed work to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Reviews work orders, material lists, sketches, and diagrams to determine necessary resources for required work.
  • Maintains records and prepares reports on work progress, costs, and problems encountered.
  • Performs related duties such as adjusting heating and air conditioning controls and performing preventive maintenance.

Requirements

  • At least four years of professional experience in business administration, management, or public administration with program management responsibilities.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of various building maintenance trades and safety practices.
  • Skill in using small hand tools and hand-held power tools.
