About the position

The Regional Social Enterprise Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of CEO's transitional work crews in a designated region. This role involves training and coaching Site Supervisors and local Social Enterprise Managers, ensuring effective leadership and mentorship. The manager coordinates with various departments to maintain operational efficiency, manage customer relationships, and ensure quality service delivery. The position emphasizes support for individuals with lived experiences of incarceration, aligning with CEO's mission to provide employment services to formerly incarcerated individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate the job performance of 6-15 Social Enterprise team members across multiple CEO cities/sites.
  • Provide individualized instruction, training, coaching, and feedback to ensure performance improvement and productivity.
  • Support the oversight and administration of contracted Scopes of Work, ensuring timely and quality completion of assignments.
  • Identify opportunities for operational and process improvements and implement appropriate plans.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for social enterprise operations in the region.
  • Provide instruction, training, and feedback to local Social Enterprise Managers and Site Supervisors.
  • Maintain open communication with Regional and Site Directors regarding crew operations and success.
  • Ensure safety and monitor working conditions for hazards.
  • Track and monitor supply inventory for work crews and assist local staff in managing crew needs.
  • Partner with the Deputy Executive Director to implement strategic plans for work crew process improvement.
  • Foster strong relationships with crew customers and address service concerns promptly.
  • Oversee operational and performance aspects of crew contracts and act as a liaison between CEO and worksite partners.
  • Hire, train, and develop high-performing teams, promoting collaboration and communication.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading and supporting diverse, high-performing teams.
  • Ability to travel to visit all sites within the region.
  • High level of personal integrity and commitment to CEO's mission.
  • Experience in training and developing staff into strong performers.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, adaptable to varying constituents.
  • Familiarity with general labor, construction, landscaping, or skilled trades.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience operating site equipment, including 15-passenger vans with trailers attached.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts.
